Deltaic Bangladesh, since 2023
Through research and grassroots action, we're building disaster-resilient, climate-smart, nature-aware communities — across Bangladesh's rivers, coastlines and delta plains.
Our Commitment
To build disaster-resilient, climate-adapted, nature-aware communities through research and field action — where people and ecosystems survive, and thrive, side by side.
A safe, green, sustainable deltaic Bangladesh — where every community can withstand climate risk, lives in balance with nature, and takes pride in its own heritage.
2030 Targets
Founded in 2023, these are our forward-looking targets — we'll update these figures regularly with real progress data.

What We Do
Every program grows out of a real, on-the-ground problem — shaped by the natural and social realities of river-dependent Bangladesh.
Prevention, adaptation and mitigation measures for drought, salinity, flood, riverbank erosion, sea level rise, lightning, landslide, pandemics, poverty-famine, and social unrest.
Building science-based knowledge of flora, fauna and ecosystems, and opening up sustainable, multi-use conservation pathways for everyday people.
Mass tree plantation to sequester atmospheric carbon and cut greenhouse gas emissions, while mitigating cyclone intensity and climate change impacts.
Building awareness on renewables, electrification, green hydrogen and grid innovation, and exploring community-level solutions that can be put into practice.
Promoting responsible travel, reducing overtourism risk, conserving nature, and building community-led ecotourism models.
Conserving and developing local ethnic, heritage and cultural diversity, and connecting it with community-based development.
Building sustainable income opportunities, skills training and green entrepreneurship to generate employment among marginalized communities and give disaster-prone areas a lasting economic footing.
Running programs in non-formal, semi-formal and technical education, alongside primary and higher education, so marginalized students can access quality learning too.
Launching and running primary healthcare services at the marginalized and community level, so people in remote areas can access essential care.
Disaster-resilient rural and urban housing models, flood/cyclone-resistant settlements, eco-housing architecture, and healthy living environments for vulnerable populations.
Clean drinking water systems, disaster-resilient sanitation facilities, hygiene education, and salinity-proof water filtration for rural and urban communities.
Deploying Nature-based Solutions (NbS), mangrove reforestation, coastal protection, drought and flood mitigation, salinity management, and community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR).
Institutional Services
Technical and management support for government bodies, development organisations and institutional partners.
Conducting training at the institutional and community level to support human resource development across Bangladesh.
Technical advisory and consultancy support for formulating environmental and climate change projects.
Technical and management consultancy to support the effective implementation of approved projects.
Assessing the technical, financial and social feasibility of new initiatives and projects, with recommendations.
Flagship Programs
We've translated our broad mission into programs communities can act on directly — and take ownership of.
Mass tree plantation and mangrove restoration across coastlines, riverbanks and rural areas — aimed at carbon sequestration, cyclone mitigation, and new livelihoods.
A community-based monitoring network that generates early warnings for riverbank erosion, flood and salinity — helping local people prepare before disaster strikes.
A combined responsible-tourism and heritage-conservation initiative — protecting nature while bringing local livelihoods and culture into the spotlight.

About Us
"For a Resilient Earth and Sustainable Communities" — Delta Eco Foundation is both a research-driven and field-active organisation. We identify problems scientifically first, then implement real community programs based on that evidence — so every initiative leaves a lasting impact.
Grounded in the geography of riverine Bangladesh, we work across a dozen fronts — disaster resilience, habitat, housing & healthy settlement, environmental conservation, climate action, livelihoods and sustainable development — with Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at the centre of every plan. We operate across rural and urban Bangladesh, as well as internationally.
Your support, time or donation — every contribution brings us closer to the communities we serve.
